Volkswagen knows how to build commercial vehicles. The Transporter van has been one of the best-selling vans in the world for 60 years! The electrics of Volkswagen vehicles are adapted to proven technology! Care has been taken to ensure that the circuitry is robust enough for all situations, while still allowing for the right amount of built-in technology.

Discover all aspects of the design of the Used Volkswagen Transporter and it soon becomes clear what happens when a vehicle is built from scratch for a purpose; from the cargo area designed to hold a full-size pallet, to the sturdy three-bin body layout that places the engine in front of the operator for maximum safety, to the comfortable ergonomic interior and everything in between.

7-speed automatic transmission with optional 4WD

Awesome automotive technology in a van! The 7-speed dual-clutch wet-clutch transmission is available in the Transporter and is the only vehicle in its class to offer this option. It has a faster shifting speed than any other standard automatic transmission, shifts seamlessly, and can handle the huge torque and load demands of a utility vehicle. It also features Volkswagen’s popular 4MOTION all-wheel drive as an option.

All that power is nothing without control; At the heart of the all-wheel drive is a wet clutch, which maneuvers like a car on hard surfaces, for serious off-road all-wheel drive. Electronic storage release and load sensing are standard on all models.

Power where and when you need it

Twin turbochargers and common rail injection technology give the Transporter a massive 400Nm of torque and optional 120kW of power, all from a 2.0L engine. Not bad, especially compared to a 3.0L Hiace which has 300 Nm/100 kW respectively. The Transporter gives you the best of both worlds; a fuel-efficient 2.0L engine that allows you to travel more than 1,000 km on one tank of fuel, with fuel consumption of only 7.4 L/100 km and the power of an engine of 3, 0L to handle all the big jobs when needed. We call it smart downsizing.

European security and sophistication

Built on a rugged chassis and tri-box body design, the Transporter receives a 4-star ANCAP safety rating, with standard front airbags, plus optional side and curtain airbags for the rear passenger.

After driving a few miles with the Transporter, it’s clear that you’re driving a comfortable European car.

Low running costs and total cost of ownership

The Transporter has premier flexible service intervals of 40,000 km/24 months and extended parts replacement within these service intervals, for example fuel filter replacement at 80,000 km or air filter replacement at 120,000 km. Also consider that there is a true fixed price maintenance plan option, all of which means more money in your wallet over the life of your car. High resale value, low maintenance costs and low fuel consumption all contribute to the Transporter’s low total cost of ownership.

We build solutions, not just standard vehicles

Not looking for another white box on wheels and need something special or something purpose built with maybe a few minor upgrades? The Transporter is built in Germany in a purpose-built factory. Each van that rolls off the production line is different from the last. Each vehicle manufactured is bespoke to the customer or importer, with a wide range of factory options; there is no “standard carrier”.

Image adds value

Make a statement! The Transporter looks great even in its basic form and can convey your individual style or a quality image for your company. A perfect mobile billboard! Quality products cost more to produce and buy, but are more affordable in the long run.
