West has worked with Adidas with his Yeezy brand since 2015, but that collaboration was halted last month due to the American rapper’s anti-Semitic statements.

An Adidas spokesperson stresses that the company cannot determine whether the allegations in the anonymous letter are true. “However, we take the allegations very seriously and have taken the decision to immediately launch an independent investigation into the matter.”

The American magazine Rolling Stone talked to dozens of former employees from Yeezy and Adidas. They accuse West of fearmongering. He allegedly manipulated employees, showed erotic images of his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and was guilty of bullying.

Adidas management would have been informed, but “closed their eyes” and “turned off the moral compass”, say the former employees.

“Hateful and Dangerous”

The collaboration between Adidas and Kanye West has already ended due to anti-Semitic statements made by Kanye West in various interviews and tweets. “Adidas will not tolerate anti-Semitism or any other form of hate speech.

Ye’s recent statements and actions are unacceptable, hateful and dangerous,” wrote the German company, which had to drastically cut its profit forecast earlier this month due to the end of the cooperation.
